Soluble in hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid and ammonium chloride solution, as well as methyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol and other organic solvents, slightly soluble in water, relative density is 4.83. Melting point is 1368℃, boiling point is 2260℃, refractive index (n25D) is 1.471. Median lethal dose (rat, per os) is 250mG/kG.
Uses: in producing motor brush, optical glass, light-guide fibre, laser generator, flux, coating enamel; as wood preservative, pesticide, corpse preservative, solid lubricant, etc.
